Christopher Alfonsso is a contemporary artist known for his multi-disciplinary paintings that blend elements of multiple styles of classical and modern art, such as impressionism, pop art, and street art. Since childhood, Christopher has been consistently immersed in robust Latin, Asian, European, Caribbean and African creative influences which are all strongly represented in his artworks. Christopher has also gathered artistic influence via a broad variety of multicultural sources, such as traveling to many of the world’s most iconic art institutions, extensively studying modern and ancient art history, classical and modern painting techniques, runway fashion, pop art, beaux-arts architecture, antiquity, art of the baroque period, fauvism, art deco, and various other styles of avant-garde art and design. Christopher’s artistic studies are themselves a raw material element of his artworks. Christopher’s artworks seek to achieve a unified theory of art by seamlessly combining figurative and abstract elements in the same space, while demonstrating a “joie de vivre” style with a technicolor-like effect. This approach eases visual tension resulting from interplay and mutual relations between various elements, such as realism and decoration. His pieces often blend abstract and surreal elements, creating an atmosphere that invites viewers to explore and interpret the work on a deeper level. The use of color, texture, and form in his compositions often evokes emotion and thoughtfulness. Alfonsso’s art can be seen as a reflection of both personal and universal experiences, allowing for a variety of interpretations of what is a unique and compelling style. His work often features vibrant colors and reimagined photographic subjects. Throughout his career, Alfonsso has participated in various exhibitions and art fairs. Notably, in October 2021, he showcased his work at the Salon d’Art Shopping held at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

HARELQUIN & CHARLATAN is a vibrant oil painting on canvas, created by contemporary artist Christopher Alfonsso. The artwork depicts a curious and whimsical encounter between two figures set amidst the lavender fields of the Chateau l'Abbaye in the Provence region of France. This painting was exhibited at the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) in 2020, highlighting its recognition in the contemporary art scene.
